Welcome to FRA Ozark Empire Branch 316.

The Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) is a congressionally chartered, non-profit organization that represents the interests of the Sea Service community before the U.S. Congress.

The Association is named after the Navy’s program for personnel transferring to the Fleet Reserve or Fleet Marine Corps Reserve after 20 or more years of active duty, but less than 30 years for retirement purposes, and its membership is comprised of current and former enlisted members or Officers of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

The Ozark Empire branch participates in patriotic events such as the Veteran’s Day Parade, the Memorial Celebration at the Springfield National Cemetery and local Fourth of July parades.  We also sponsor the Greater Ozarks Division of the Sea Cadets.

Our local branch also hosts an Americanism Essay Contest each year that gives local high school students the opportunity to compete with other students nationwide for cash prizes.

Branch 316 is the largest FRA branch in Southwest Missouri and meets once a month from January to November on the 4th Thursday – check the calendar for specific times and locations.
